Ethics + Corals is a compositional study of the dynamic relationship between color, mark-making and layering and the role that each element plays in crafting a visual narrative. In this work, I explore themes of how darkness harnesses light, how the softness of organic forms eases the tension between rigid systems, and how opacity can behave as a veil between what is happening superficially and what transpires beneath the surface. Like much of the work Brit Webber makes, it's an exercise in seeing rather than looking and demands dissection of its individual components rather than ingestion of the work as a whole. Size is 15x30 and comes ready to hang or display along with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Seeking to capture the essence of these ideas through an iterative process, she employs themes of composition, color theory, and materiality while using motifs such as mark-making, layering, and stamping to establish a visual language for conveying conceptual frameworks.
